Scott Creek Windwalker ( imp USA)

Mini Patch Stud is situated approximately 15 km from Pleasant Point and 30km from Timaru, South Canterbury, New Zealand.

On our 82 acre property we run 30 cows, 10 dogs, 4 cats. 1 thoroughbred gelding, 1 Clydesdale mare and 18 Miniature Horses.

Of those 18 miniature horses, we have imported fro the USA Scott Creek Windwalker 2 times World Champion, Windwalker stands at 29" and is a stunning black/white pinto with the most outstanding movement. Windwalker is not open to public stud but his progency will be available next year.Also standing at stud Littlewoods Premier Dun 4 Fun who is a beautiful red dun with a red dorsal stripe, white blaze and flaxen mane and tail. This stunning wee stallion, better know as Henry, comes from Multi-Supreme blood lines, is Full American Pedigree, a Multi-Champion winner himself, including Reserve National Grand Champion Junior Stallion (2005 NZMHA National Show). He is Stallion certified and is a proven height reducer. He is extremely quiet and very easy to handle in every way.

Mini Patch Stud's aim is to breed the perfect miniature horse, and we strive to do this by breeding for soundness, temperament, looks and versatility.

These little horses have become part of our family and are handled by children aged from 3 years and up. We want to be able to breed these horses for all sorts of uses, in addition to being show quality miniatures.

We are planning to have open days to the public so we can show these adorable wee horses and their capabilities. We are at present building a viewing arena, as well as stables to house 12 minis at one time. Our first open day is in March 2008. Will confirm the exact date nearer the time.

With the showing season about to start again we are busy preparing the horses. We are also in the early stages of breaking two of our miniatures and our Clydesdale mare into cart.

Pebbles, our Clydesdale mare, is rising four. Pebbles has spent many hours racing up and down the paddock playing with the miniatures. One of our smaller minis who stands at 28 inches is Pebbles best friend.

We are very excited that Rasharkin Abbys Spellbound Julie has joined our stud, Julie has had a fantastic showing season with her last win getting Supreme Champion at the Regionals. We were lucky enough to be able to enter Julie in two A & P shows before the end of the season. Her first show winning every class and Champion Cat B horse.
Second show again winning every class but one which she got second to one of our other yearling mares who won Supreme Champion at her first ever show.
We can't wait for the next showing season to start.

Scott Creek Windwalker has arrived. At long last Windwalker has finally arrived it has been such a long road to get him here due to the hold ups with the equine flu.Windwalker has settled in well and is looking forward to meeting his new girls. Some of Windwalker's progency will be for sale this year this year. His first filly was born on the 4/10/09 beautiful chocolate brown pinto.
